Mercy Day
The 4th area of the new web platform which you are invited to tour is Heritage. This has nine distinct parts.
Catherine McAuley’s nephew, William Armstrong Montgomery McAuley (also known as “Wild Willie”) was presumably the first child to be baptized in Catherine’s Chapel in the Baggot Street house.
The Sisters of Mercy first went to Wales in 1852 when a foundation was established in Pontypool, South Wales, by sisters coming from Liverpool, England.
This week we tour the Foundress section of the web. It comprises four parts: a chronology which explores the highlights of Catherine's life, a short illustrated story of her life, an overview of the canonization process and an interactive map of Dublin.
The Mercy International Centre is one of the three main elements of the MIA Vision

This past week’s news has brought the tremendous tragedy of flooding in Pakistan and India to the attention of the world.
Today we are very happy to announce the first steps of the launch of the new Mercyworld platform. From 2nd August it will be visible at www.mercyworld.org . The rollout will be on an incremental basis.
The new Mercyworld.org web site for Mercy International Association is an invitation into a world wide network of people.
As the ‘roll out’ of the new web platform begins, Mercy E-news will, over the next few weeks, facilitate a ‘tour’ of the new web, introducing the user to the various sections.
