Mercy Day
Mercy International Association co- sponsored an important side event at Rio + 20 with the Temple of Understanding and several other interfaith and religious organizations.
Sunday, June 17th marked the signing ceremony of the Universal Declaration for the Rights of Mother Earth, organized at the Global Alliance, a side event in Rio Centro.
It was the 50th. International Eucharistic Congress and it took place in Dublin.
Catherine McAuley frequently spoke of the power of prayer.
Mercy International Centre was alive with the energy of the Eucharistic Congress with pilgrims and Congress volunteers who stayed overnight at Baggot Street. Twenty four resided at Baggot Street for either a partial week or the full week.
It is our intention at Mercy International Association to promote the widespread adoption of the Code as well as to root out the toleration of trafficking in the hospitality sector at large.
Aine O' Connor rsm who is on the ground at Rio +20, asks Martin Khor, Executive Director of South Centre, an Intergovernmental policy think tank developing countries, what he thinks are the top criteria for success at the Rio +20.
