Mercy Day
During the week leading up to the 11th November, Sr Sheila Carney, rsm led a group of Sisters in reflection on the blessedness of Catherine’s life and in exploring how the manner of her dying confirmed the graces of her living.
Today Sisters of Mercy of Newfoundland make a commitment to alleviate injustice and to continue to reach out in compassion and service to the poor and oppressed, especially to women.

MSEA’s 29th annual conference is being hosted by Mercy High School this weekend, October 15-16, 2010. Most of the conference events will be held at the Hyatt Regency downtown beginning at 9:30 am on Friday, October 15.

The 13th of August this year marked the 100th anniversary of the death of Florence Nightingale. As the nation remembers the ‘lady with the lamp’ and her enduring association with pioneering nursing during the Crimean War.
The island nation of Samoa is located about half way between Hawaii and New Zealand. Formerly known as Western Samoa, it consists of two large islands, Savai'i and Upolo, and several small islets.
