The significance of Mercy E-News
The Mercy Global Action Network (MGAN) has been active in the period before and after Christmas in following up on the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio+20).
Up to 150 secondary school students from Mercy schools and ministries around the world are expected to gather in Dublin from 16th - 19th July 2013 for the Dublin Pilgrimage of Young Mercy Leaders.
An invitation is extended to all members of the Mercy network - Sisters, Associates, Colleagues, Partners in Ministry, Family and Friends - to post Christmas Greetings on the mercyworld.org website, a practice now in its eleventh year.
Mary Purcell, MIA Assistant Director Global Action and Aine O Connor, MIA Representative at the United Nations attended a conference entitled Forum on Business and Human Rights organised by the Human Rights Council from 4-5th December.
Foundation Day celebrations at Mercy International Centre offered a plethora of images and ways to celebrate.
Mercy International Association was instrumental with the Presentation Sisters in developing a group in Ireland to follow up on implementation of the plan committed at the Rio Conference.
As we celebrate Foundation Day 12/12/12, we recall with great joy the events of the 12/12/ 1831, one hundred and eighty one years ago today.
