Adderton: house & heart of mercy

Overlooking the Brisbane (Queensland)  River, Adderton—renamed in 1863 as the Convent of Our Lady of Mercy, All Hallows’ (All Hallows’ Convent)—has been at the heart of the Sisters of Mercy’s work in Brisbane since 1863. Situated within the former All Hallows’ Convent, Adderton: house & heart of mercy will open to visitors in 2018. A new program of events and exhibitions will introduce visitors to Mercy history and the legacy of this unique Brisbane landmark. The rejuvenated Adderton: house & heart of mercy will be a multi-use art, exhibition and ideas space grounded in the Mercy values of creativity, diversity and inclusiveness.
