Conference Facilities

Located in the heart of the city, and served well by public transport, Mercy International Centre is an ideal venue in which to hold conferences, training programmes, seminars, workshops and meetings of all kinds during the day or evening.

Full day bookings – any time between 8.30am and 5.00pm.
Half Day bookings – any time between 8.30am and 12.30pm & 1.00pm and 5.00pm.
Evening bookings – times negotiable between 6.00 & 10.00pm

The Centre can cater for a variety of sizes of groups and rooms have high speed internet access, data projectors, sound systems, screens and flip charts. The building has a lift and is wheelchair accessible. Morning and afternoon teas can be provided. A full meal or lunch can also be provided or can be ordered from nearby suppliers.


International Room

This large gathering room was the first Mercy School, opened in 1824. Bright and spacious it serves as sign of the Sisters of Mercy worldwide with its international flavour. Today the room serves also as a gathering space for meetings. Seating arrangements are available (u-shape, boardroom, classroom and theatre) and it can accommodate a maximum of 40 people, using the tables, and 60 in theatre style. Water is provided but food and other beverages are not permitted in the room. The Dining Room is available for any catering needs.

Doyle Room

This room is named after Mary Ann Doyle, one of the first Sisters of Mercy. The room served as the infirmary in 1824. When available, it serves as space for meetings, for groups of up to 20. The tables and chairs are moveable and can be arranged to meet the needs of the gathering. A large screen, overhead projector, flip chart, computer terminal with projector, high speed internet access, and phone line are all available. Water is provided but food and other beverages are not permitted in the room. The Dining Room is available for any catering needs.

Callaghan Room

This room is named after William Callaghan – the man who left his fortune to Catherine. It is with this inheritance that Catherine built the house on Baggot Street. The room is decorated to period and contains the portrait of William Callaghan as well as the furniture that Catherine brought from the Callaghan home in Coolock when she sold Coolock House. The room is arranged in boardroom style for 6 people or less. A screen, data projector and flip chart are available; an LCD can be reserved. Water is provided but food and other beverages are not permitted in the room. The Dining Room is available for any catering needs.

Dining Room

The Dining Room can seat 60 people comfortably. It is used for catering in conjunction with the hire of other conference facilities and for Bed & Breakfast guests. The Dining Room can be booked for a special occasion meal. Please ring or email for details
