Inspired by the Gospel and the Mercy Charism, the Galilee Community provides a sacred space in an environment of hospitality and respect where people are welcome to share prayer experiences, ongoing faith development, and community life, lived in reverent relationship with all of creation.

Galilee, situated in the midst of lakes, woodlands and mountains commands a spectacular view of the picturesque countryside bordering Leitrim, Sligo and Roscommon. It provides an ideal setting for a short break or a more extended stay.

The surrounding area provides ample opportunity for walking, hill walking, cycling, boating, fishing and sightseeing.

The Galilee Community is an initiative of the Sisters of Mercy, Western Province, The Congregation. The core community consists of 3 Mercy Sisters.
