ArtesanĂa from Chulucanas Peru

CEO Betania is an Educational Center for Women living in poverty supported by the Sisters of Mercy (Merion/Peru/Institute of the Americas).

Women who study sewing, embroidering, etc. are selected to work in the "artesan's" workshop, where they make beautiful handbags, overnight bags, totes, crochted evening bags, Liturgical vestments and altar linens (of all kinds), emboidered blouses, table runners of colorful, handwoven Indian cloth, articles for Travel (passport and ID holders, luggage tags) just to name a few of our items.

We are eager to enlarge our market, since we basically sell in the USA at Mercy fairs, etc. The prices vary since we sell things from $1.00 - $35.00 for hand embroidered priests' stoles - $150. for special order crocheted or knitted items.
