Tuesday 23 September
Theme: Telling the Story of the establishment of Mercy International Association & Centre

• 4 pm: Welcome Reception
• 5pm: Formal opening incorporating ritual prepared by the Institute of the Americas
            Telling the story: A creative presentation of the founding story of Mercy International Association &
            Centre

Wednesday 24 September
Theme: Celebrating Mercy Day

• 10 am: Opening Prayer in the Chapel
  (Ritual prepared by The Congregation, Ireland)
• 10.30 am: Good Cup of Tea & Refreshments available in the Dining Room
• All Morning: Open House - Exhibition of 'The Face of Mercy' in the International Room
• 2 pm: Mercy Day Mass - St Mary's, Haddington Road (Celebrant: Archbishop Diarmuid Martin)
             Meal afterwards in the Lansdowne Hotel Ballsbridge

Thursday 25 September
Theme: Celebrating Mercy Around the World

• 10am: Opening Prayer in Chapel
  (Ritual prepared by Great Britain on our Global Reality)
  Presentation on Mercy around the World today - Ambassadors from Member Areas invited
• 11am: President Michael D. Higgins (President of Ireland) addresses the Gathering
  Ambassadors present invited to acknowledge the contribution of the Sisters of Mercy in their countries
  Response to Morning's presentation
  Refreshments
• All Day: Open House - Exhibitionof 'The Face of Mercy' in the International Room

Friday 26 September
Theme: Sustainable Development & Opposing Human Trafficking (focus areas of MIA Global Action)

• 9 am: Opening Prayer in Liffey Room
  (Ritual on Opposing Trafficking prepared by Australia)
• 10 am - 12.30pm: Presentation & Engagement on Opposing Human Trafficking
•  l.30 pm: Ritual prepared by Newfoundland on Caring for the Environment
• 2 - 4.30 pm: Presentation & Engagement on Sustainable Development

Saturday 27 September
Free Day

• Opportunity to tour Dublin, including Catherine's Dublin and/or areas of interest in the vicinity of Dublin
• Advice available on Events and Tours worth considering

• Sunday Vigil Eucharist available in local Churches - times available on request

Sunday 28 September
Theme: Shaping Mercy into the Future

• lO am: Opening Prayer in Liffey Room
  (Ritual prepared by Aotearoa New Zealand on Taking Mercy into the Future)
• 10.30 am - 12.30pm: Shapers of the Dream
• 1.30 - 4 pm: Symposium: Sisters, Associates, Partners in Ministry,Youth

 Monday 29 September

Theme: For All there has been THANKS, For All there will be YES

• 9.30 am: Opening Ritual prepared by the Philippines on the theme of the day
  Responding to Global Justice Issues - Mercy at the United Nations
• 12.30 pm: Closing Ritual

IMPORTANT INFORMATION. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

There is very limited accommodation available at Mercy International Association, Baggot Street. A list of local accommodation can be obtained from Madeleine (receptionist@mercyinternational.ie).

80 participants is the maximum that can be accommodated at each event, other than the Mercy Day Mass and Dinner which can accommodate 200 or more. In the case of over-subscription to any event, places will be allocated as equitably as possible, and efforts will be made to ensure attendees are facilitated at as many as possible of their requested events.

Each day during the celebrations, the rituals at MIC will be streamed and will be available in real time and on the Mercy World website.

The main events of the celebrations will also be streamed live and can either be accessed simultaneously or viewed at a later time. Members of the Mercy family around the world are invited to organise parallel events in their own locations.

Consideration might be given to organising a 'Good Cup ofTea' event as part of the celebrations in local places.

Two way communication is encouraged. There will be daily reports on Mercy World website of the events in Baggot Street and reports on celebrations from around the world are welcomed.

Attendance at all events of the Celebrations is free but a donation, if desired, to help defray expenses, will be welcomed and greatly appreciated.
