Celebrating the Third Anniversary of Laudato Si' on 18 June

Last year, we were invited to pray the Prayer for our Earth over the 9 days leading up to the second anniversary of the public release of Laudato Si'. This year, we invite members of our Mercy family to commence the 9 days of prayer on 18 June. The reflection pages for each of the 9 days (18-26 June) have been updated with a suggested action for each day included. DAY ONE: Monday, 18 June

All-powerful God, you are present in the whole universe
and in the smallest of your creatures.

DAY TWO: Tuesday, 19 June

You embrace with your tenderness all that exists.

DAY THREE: Wednesday, 20 June

Pour out upon us the power of your love,
that we may protect life and beauty.

DAY FOUR: Thursday, 21 June

Fill us with peace, that we may live
as brothers and sisters, harming no one.

DAY FIVE: Friday, 22 June

O God of the poor,
help us to rescue the abandoned and forgotten of this earth,
so precious in your eyes.

DAY SIX: Saturday, 23 June

Bring healing to our lives,
that we may protect the world and not prey on it,
that we may sow beauty, not pollution and destruction.

DAY SEVEN: Sunday, 24 June

Touch the hearts
of those who look only for gain
at the expense of the poor and the earth.

DAY EIGHT: Monday, 25 June

Teach us to discover the worth of each thing,
to be filled with awe and contemplation,
to recognize that we are profoundly united
with every creature
as we journey towards your infinite light.
