MIA Prayer Intention: Commitment to Challenging Unjust Systems

Today, 4 April, is the 50th anniversary of the death of civil rights leader Martin Luther King, a man of vision, a man with a dream, a man who had hope.

MIA joins with the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas in remembering Doctor King's work for racial equality, voting rights and dignity for African-Americans.

In giving thanks for the example of his life which continues to inspire us, we are mindful of the many people today who work for justice, dignity, equality and peace. We pray that we may all continue to work to change unjust systems.
