MIA Prayer Intention: Praying with Pope Francis for Peace in South Sudan and DRC

On Thursday, 23 November, 2017, at 5:30 pm (Rome time) in St. Peters’ Basilica, Pope Francis will preside over a celebration of Prayer for Peace in South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The prayer with Pope Francis is an initiative of Solidarity with South Sudan.

As we pray for peace, let us also remember the members of our Mercy family whose ministry is in South Sudan: Ailish O'Brien rsm (The Congregation), Rosario Staunton rsm (GB Institute), Maureen Limer rsm (GB Federation)  or on behalf of South Sudan:  Marilyn Lacey rsm (Americas).
