Special prayer Intention: Victims of Mass Shooting in Las Vegas

Today we are confronted by news reports of multiple deaths and injuries in Las Vegas, the resort city famed for its vibrant nightlife and regarded as the entertainment capital of the world. Violence and murder now overshadow this tourist destination.

We pray with the 59 deceased, the 527 known injured, the witnesses, the relatives and the communities of persons affected by the Las Vegas mass shooting.

We pray for ourselves, with our neighbours, for us all that we continue to prize our common humanity and work for justice and peace.
