Input into the Next Mercy International Association Strategic Plan by 10 August 2017

We are inviting you to contribute to a road map for MIA over the coming years by completing an on-line survey, available here

Periodically, we review our Strategic Plan in order to ensure that our activities continue to be in line with the MIA vision and that they are responding to current contexts and needs. We are now embarking on such a review and value as wide a participation as possible in such a review.

The context in which we operate continues to evolve. The majority of people who visit MIC and partake in programmes are lay people. Many are Leaders of Mercy Ministries and a large proportion are young people. The multicultural face of Mercy is very evident in the Sisters who come, especially the younger members.  The advances in technology have made it possible for us to deliver some events and programmes online as well as to provide support and resources online. The MIRP process has identified and highlighted current needs in relation to ‘the cry of the Earth and the cry of the Poor’ that must impact our Global Action programme. Fundraising has become a major part of what we do and we have learned to see that it is as Henry Nouwen says  ’first and foremost a form of ministry; that it is proclaiming what we believe in such a way that we offer other people the opportunity to participate with us in our vision’.

Here is your opportunity to help us shape the future of MIA and ensure we remain open to new horizons. Please complete the survey by Thursday 10th August, 2017.

Reference is made in this survey to the Mercy International Reflection Process (MIRP) Review document which can be accessed here

We welcome your participation!
