The great feast that unites the Mercy world is Mercy Day, 24 September. Shareing greetings online in this Year of Mercy when 24 September holds for us all an even greater significance.

All members and friends of the Mercy family are invited to send in your greetings for posting on our mercyworld.org website for Mercy Day. Greetings will be posted online as they are received.

Greetings should be sent to mercyenews@mercyinternational.ie (preferably) by Wednesday, 21 September to make sure they are published for Mercy Day.

Here in Arkansas during the Year of Mercy, the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas were recognized for their many significant contributions to our state and were inducted into the Arkansas Women's Hall of Fame. Grateful for their service, we are reminded of all the women past and present who have dedicated their lives to carry out Catherine's vision. Our young women at Mount St. Mary Academy continue to "be shining lamps." Today, all 500 of our students will #MakeMercyReal with a day of service to 18 community organizations. They will be cleaning up parks, picking up trash and helping out at schools, hospitals and local food agencies to spread the message of God's love and mercy to the world.

Mercy Day blessings and peace,

-Mount St. Mary Academy, Little Rock
