Sisters of Mercy, Auburn, California celebrate 150 years

The jubilee events celebrating the 150th Anniversary of the arrival of the Sisters of Mercy in Sacramento, California, on October 2, 1857, added another highlight, when 450 members of the civic community of the greater Sacramento area joined in a Gala Celebration on November 3, 2007.

The proceeds benefit a Sisters of Mercy Endowment ensuring that the legacy of caring continues for the next 150 years. The black tie event presented a visual history highlighted with music and dancing capturing the theme, “For the Least of These.”
