Opening of Jubilee Door in Curtin, ACT, Australia (ISMAPNG - Central A)

On Sunday, 13  December,  nine ISMAPNG Mercy women from the local Cluster of Central A gathered to celebrate Foundation Day as well as symbolising the opening of the Jubilee Year of Mercy Door.

We used a door to one of our houses for the focus of our Ritual. The door was decorated with a photo of the red doors of Mercy International Centre as a reminder to us of our international connections in Mercy.

The group watched Elizabeth Davis’ video and shared thoughts around some thresholds where Mercy is needed - such as those who are suffering with mental health issues; the displaced; the impact of fear and fundamentalism that feeds terrorism and counter reaction. Our call to be Doorkeepers of Mercy is always both a gift and a challenge.
