Canonisation of Pope John XXIII and Pope John Paul II

Mercy International Association welcomes the canonisation of Pope John XXIII and Pope John Paul II on Divine Mercy Sunday, 27 April 2014.

Together with the whole Church we join in prayer of thanks for the gifts and examples the lives of these two Popes have offered to the Church and to the World.

The US Bishops (USCCB) media office has published a special feature on their website which includes biographies of the two Popes, links to their writings and encyclicals on the Vatican website, as well as a series of brief reflections from Catholic, Orthodox and Jewish scholars, theologians and journalists. Among the contributors are Doris Gottemoeller rsm and Sharon Euart rsm.
