Mercy Day
Forty-one women religious (age 60 and below) and associates representing 14 different women religious congregations participated in the first session of the Collaborative Leadership Development Program (CLDP), the outgrowth of the Mercy Leadership Development Program.
Held August 25-30 at Mercy Center in St. Louis, the CLDP provides the training along with the multicultural perspective and contemplative setting for these women to gain the skills, knowledge and confidence necessary to assume leadership positions in community and ministry. This 18-month integrative program sponsored by a coalition of women religious congregations in partnership with the Leadership Conference of Women Religious (LCWR), is directed by Associate Kathleen Wade, and features several Sisters of Mercy presenters including Sisters Mary Pat Garvin, Institute Leadership Team, and Mary Waskowiak (West Midwest).
