Catherine's Canonisation Cause: Report on International Committee Meeting at MIC (MIA)

The committee responsible for working on the beatification of Venerable Catherine McAuley met in MIC in Baggot Street in Dublin from April 10-14.

It was wonderful for the group to meet face to face after working through conference calls for the past five years.
The committee met to share on what is happening around the world for the Cause of Venerable Catherine.
Symposia on Catherine’s life and charism of Mercy, retreats, presentations, reading circles, CDs on Catherine’s letters are just a few of the activities that are constantly happening.

The committee was delighted to know of the many people from all walks of life, from many countries around the globe who constantly send in prayer requests through Catherine’s intercession for all their many needs.
The committee rejoiced to learn of the multitude of graces and favours that people received through Catherine’s intercession.

The committee is also working on a number of alleged miracles one of which may hopefully lead to beatification.

Being an international group the committee was very happy to join with the Sisters of Mercy in Carlow for their celebration of 175 years. They were also fortunate to be present in MIC for the launching of the letters of M. Vincent Whitty and had excellent inputs on the use of web technology, associates, the workings of MIC and the letters of Catherine.

It was a great meeting and the members returned to their respective countries refreshed and ready to face the future with hope and enthusiasm.
