Mercy International Association Meetings

This year’s annual meetings of the congregational leaders of the Mercy International Association begin 9 May at Handsworth, Birmingham. There the Members will celebrate with the Mercies of Great Britain the re-development and restoration of Catherine’s last foundation. During the meeting days Members engage in a process of reflection, discussion and decision-making about the direction and future of Mercy International Association.

The meeting time provides an opportunity to experience global Mercy interaction by sharing significant Mercy and religious-life events from the past year, and by engaging with one another about the future hopes, reality and developments from MIA projects.

In Dublin Members will meet with Sisters Rosie Carroll and Caitlín Conneely to discuss Mercy International Centre. Anne Hannon rsm will bring an update on the canonisation process, Brenda Dolphin rsm will speak about the work of the Mercy International Association Archives Committee. The formal Annual General Meeting and meeting of the Board of Directors bring the days to a close.

This year the formal meeting days will be followed by a day of reflection on the world-wide phenomenon of the re-configuring process taking place in many religious congregations.
