MIA Prayer Intention: The Events of This Past Week

While mindful of the many tragedies reported in the media this past week, let us not forget the good news including: the rescue of 400 migrants in the Mediterranean who were attempting the crossing from Morocco to Spain, the remarkable result of the Irish women's hockey team, the rescue of the Australian climber after a week on a frozen mountain, the announcement by Pope Francis that 'the death penalty is inadmissible because it is an attack on the inviolability and dignity of the person'.

Let us give thanks also for the kindnesses we have each experienced in our own lives and in our communities this past week.
