Laudato Si' Anniversary: Day Four

Civil unrest, armed conflicts and terror attacks, religious, ethnic and racial persecution, domestic violence, murders,  trafficking in persons and other forms of modern slavery, economic inequality, climate change, decreasing biodiversity... there are many examples in our world of violence and the desperate need we have for peace. 

On 6 June 2018  the Global Peace Index 2018, the world's leading measurement of country peacefulness, was released. What does it reveal? 'The 2018 GPI reveals a world in which the tensions, conflicts, and crises that emerged in the past decade remain unresolved'.

We pray: Fill us with peace, that we may live
as brothers and sisters, harming no one.

Suggested action: Pray often for all people and places in our world experiencing civil unrest and war
