In-service program for Sisters of Mercy at the United Nations in New York City

Mercy Global Concern (MGC) offered a two (2) week in-service program for Sisters of Mercy at the United Nations in New York City, September 5-16, 2005. The program included

* A workshop on the use of the CD-ROM, Mercy and Justice Shall Meet, Tuesday, September 6, 2005;
* Attendance at the annual DPI-NGO conference, Our Challenge: Voices for Peace, Partnerships and Renewal, held at UN headquarters in New York City, September 7-9, 2005; and,
* A workshop, Bridging the Gap Between Policy and Practice, September 12-16, 2005. This workshop is an opportunity to interact and network with other UN-affiliated NGOs, e.g., Amnesty International, Rotary International, Salvation Army, Religious Orders Partnership (ROP), among others.
