Mercy Day
We are a group of 2 Sisters of Mercy and thirteen lay teachers of our Mercy Primary School in Samoa, part of Nga Whaea Atawhai o Aotearoa / Sisters of Mercy New Zealand. We’ve had two meetings - 2 weeks in a row after school in the staffroom.
The focus of our group for this process is ‘Sustainable Living’.We have identified issues facing us today such as the fast growing use of modern technologies which is also causing us to use more and more processed and instant food, rather than our old methods and natural degradable resources which are environmentally friendly. We are aware that this is going to be a challenging process but we are confident that we will achieve a good result at the end.
