MIA Welcomes the Achievement of Paris Agreement: Shared Commitment to Act for Humanity and the Planet

MIA welcomes the adoption by nearly 200 nations of the Paris Agreement designed to limit global temperature rise to less than 2C (3.6F) for the sake of the entire Earth Community.

While welcoming the shared commitment to act, we recognise that this Agreement is but a beginning of continued necessary action, not just from governments but from all of us.

As our global Mercy network embarks on a reflective process to respond to 'the cry of the Earth and the cry of the Poor' (LS#49) in this Year of Mercy, may we, too, be inspired  to new action for the sake of humanity and the planet.
