Mercy Day
Celebrate Catherine's silver anniversary of being Venerable - 9 April 2015 - by singing the Suscipe and praying the prayer for Catherine's Beatification.
Words by Catherine McAuley (adapted). Music composed by Elaine Deasy rsm (Americas). Sung by Marie Cox rsm (The Congregation)
My God,
I am yours for time and eternity,
Lord, I am yours forever.
It is you who must teach me to trust in your Providence, Loving Lord.
You are a God of love and tenderness.
I place my trust in you,
And I ask that you grant me acceptance of your will,
Loving Lord.
Take from my heart all painful anxiety.
Let nothing sadden me but sin.
And then let my delight be hoping to see your face,
God, my all.
Refrain

Loving God You chose Catherine McAuley for the service of your people who are Poor, Sick and Uneducated. You inspired her to found the Sisters of Mercy so that these good works might endure.
Give to each of us a portion of her compassionate spirit and an ardent desire to serve your suffering people.
Graciously hear our prayers for Catherine and by granting the favours we ask through her intercession, hasten the day when her sanctity will be celebrated by all the Church.
Amen
