Catholic Health Association USA (CHA) . CHA is offering its annual series of Lenten reflections to enable you to reflect on the meaning of this season by downloading and listening to these weekly offerings. The reflections are available in three formats: video, audio only and hardcopy.

PROGRAMS 

The World Council of Churches Ecumenical Water Network (WCC-EWN) - Seven Weeks for Water 2018

Since 2008, EWN has been providing weekly theological reflections and other resources on water for the seven weeks of Lent and for World Water Day on 22 March.

Operation Noah: Climate change and the purposes of God . A study course based on ‘Climate change and the purposes of God: a call to the Church’

Operation Noah has published a course which is designed for use as a Lent course – though it is also appropriate for use at any time of the year. It is targeted for use with Church and house groups and the content is based on ‘Climate change and the purposes of God: a call to the Church’.

The Society of Saint John the Evangelist (SSJE)

SSJE a monastic community of the Episcopal Church, is offering a Lenten series titled Meeting Jesus in the Gospel of John.

Beginning on 11 February, this six-week Lenten journey offers reflections on John through prayer and reflection. Free downloads of the accompanying prayer journal and additional resources are available here , along with a sign-up for daily video and meditation e-mails.

Lenten Resource: On the Altar of the World

This is the third Lenten Resource jointly prepared by Liverpool Archdiocesan Justice and Peace Commission and CAFOD Liverpool. All three resources enable participants to study and discuss Pope Francis’ encyclical letter ‘Laudato Si’: On Care for our Common Home’

The Anglican Board of Mission (Australia) has developed a Lenten study to help users explore, theologically reflect, and act upon the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). MIA-MGA has identified 8 of the SDGs (Goals 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 8, 13,16) as most relevant to the mission of the Sisters of Mercy.

ABM has also developed an APP 'Into the Desert' with 40 days of bible readings, reflections, sayings and prayer suggestions.

These Lent resources have a particular focus on Australian landscape, history and writing, Aboriginal reconciliation and the long Christian tradition of desert-shaped theology.

Sisters of Mercy of the Americas

Lenten Series

A series of seven Lenten meditations in both English and Spanish based on the Seven Last Words of Jesus, uttered during the crucifixion. The reflections will focus on the Seven Last Words as the quintessential embodiment of mercy, connecting them to the history and ministries of the Sisters of Mercy and concluding with an invitation to all to perform acts of mercy inspired by the words of Jesus.

Ignatian Solidarity Network: Break Forth: A Daily Lenten Call to Solidarity

Writers from throughout the American national Jesuit network will explore response to injustice through the lens of the daily readings and Ignatian spirituality.

Individuals can subscribe to receive the daily reflections via e-mail . They will also be shared via social media on Facebook and Twitter.

#Jars4Journeys

The Church of Ireland Bishops' Appeal, Eco-Congregation Ireland and the Representative Church Body of the Church of Ireland are inviting people to save an old jam jar or other recyclable container and every time they make a journey that is not by foot or by bike, they can donate to offset the impact of their carbon footprint.

The money raised will go towards three conservation projects around the world that support and help build resilience in communities who are most affected by climate change: Solar ovens in Bolivia, Conservation farming in Ethiopia, Tree Planting & Water Harvesting in Kenya
