Catherine McAuley, foundress of the Sisters of Mercy, used her inheritance in service of the needs of her time. Today, Sisters of Mercy, through Mercy International Association, use their resources to respond to issues of global poverty demonstrated in the massive displacement of persons worldwide...This vision keeps alive the founding spirit of Catherine among peoples of the world most in need of God's compassion and mercy.

Reflecting on the Experience of Participating in the Wellspring Programme (MIA)

Editor: Over the past month we have seen and heard from the four presenters at the Watering the Roots at the Wellspring of Mercy month long renewal programme. Each week in Mercy E-news we have been able to experience through the powerful medium of video, the insights about contemporary Religious Life, Scripture, Catherine McAuley and Spirituality that Marie Chin rsm, Veronica Lawson rsm, Madeline Duckett rsm and Janet Ruffing rsm shared with the participants.

The 43 videos created by Adele Howard rsm in Dublin from the series input, as well as related print materials from the presenters, can all be accessed in the newly created 'Wellspring programme' category in the Spirituality section of the mercyworld.org website, for use individually or with a group. A listing of all the videos, in order, with timings given to help plan your viewing, can be downloaded here.

In this week's issue the Wellspring participants share their reflections with us. Their reflections can be accessed by clicking the 'More' button below.

Sisters from across the Mercy world have been enthusiastically accessing these resources over the past four weeks. We hear from Pat Linnane rsm (ISMAPNG) who shares her reflections as one who has participated at home.

We continue to welcome your input on how you have used, or plan to use, the Wellspring 2013 video series. Send your reflections/responses to: the Editor
