Catherine McAuley, foundress of the Sisters of Mercy, used her inheritance in service of the needs of her time. Today, Sisters of Mercy, through Mercy International Association, use their resources to respond to issues of global poverty demonstrated in the massive displacement of persons worldwide...This vision keeps alive the founding spirit of Catherine among peoples of the world most in need of God's compassion and mercy.

Behold, I am Doing Something New (Americas)

“Behold, I am Doing Something New” was the theme of this year’s annual meeting of the Mercy Association Leadership Network (MALN). Over 30 associates and sisters involved in Association leadership gathered Thursday, November 15 through Saturday November 17, 2012 on the Sacred Heart Campus of the Sisters of Mercy in Belmont, North Carolina.

Facilitator Barbara Mullen CSJ led the group through a review and discussion of the Sustainability Plan for Mercy Association. Associates and sisters in attendance also discussed by laws and organizational structures for the organization. In addition to determining goals and future directions for Association, participants also enjoyed a presentation from Institute Leadership Team (ILT) liaison, Mary Pat Garvin rsm, on the importance of understanding change and transition and the work of the Spirit in Mercy Association.
