Catherine McAuley, foundress of the Sisters of Mercy, used her inheritance in service of the needs of her time. Today, Sisters of Mercy, through Mercy International Association, use their resources to respond to issues of global poverty demonstrated in the massive displacement of persons worldwide...This vision keeps alive the founding spirit of Catherine among peoples of the world most in need of God's compassion and mercy.

Lauralton Hall Affiliates with Online School for Girls (Americas)

Editor: with the new school year about to be underway in the northern hemisphere, it is appropriate to this week feature an education story. This story reminds us that 21st century learning is innovative, uses contemporary tools and reaches beyond geographical boundaries.

Guided by current research on how girls learn best, Lauralton Hall is pleased to announce its affiliation with the Online School for Girls, an exceptional all-girl learning community that connects students worldwide through relevant and engaging coursework in a dynamic online learning community.

Lauralton Hall president Antoinette (Toni) Iadarola, Ph.D. believes “The best way to prepare students for the future is to remain on the cutting edge of new directions in education. It’s in the DNA of our founders, the Sisters of Mercy, to be innovative and ahead of our time and we are committed to their vision.”
