Mercy Center Celebrates Twenty Years of Women Making History! (Americas)

On 29th March, 2012  Mercy Center for Women which provides many services for women in the community who are homeless or who need some assistance with their personal development, will honor twenty amazing women for their contributions to the Erie, Pennsylvania area!

This awards ceremony has its origins in 1993 when the former Executive Director, Tish Donze, honored twelve women for their dedicated service, integrity and strong moral values, commitment to women’s issues, and their commitment to personal growth and development.

Every year since then, Mercy Center has recognized women, some very well known and some quiet unsung heroines, for their service to others. In celebration of the organisations's twentieth year and National Women's History Month,  Mercy Center decided to honor twenty women in 2012. A report of the luncheon celebrating the honorees of the past two decades held on 28th February can be viewed here.
