Archival materials arrive in Belmont (The Americas)
Editor: The November 9th edition of Mercy E-News included an item on the developments at the Mercy Heritage Center, Belmont and the arrival of the first archival collections. This week we read of the the arrival of the Northeast Community’s collection which includes Frances Warde'sdesk and chair from New Hampshire.
"The week of November 10th through the 16th was hopping at the Mercy Heritage Center. The Northeast Community arrived consisting of Providence RI, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Albany, NY, Vermont and Portland, ME. In addition to the archival materials we received three dimensional items as well; that's museum speak for stuff! First Commitment and Renewal of Commitment of Mercy Associates (The Congregation)
This year in South Africa, for the first time, the programme for the commitment celebration for our Mercy Associates was organised by a committee consisting of six sisters and two associates from each of the groups in the Province i.e. twelve associate members. It has taken us some time to get this committee up and running but once the associates realised that the associate movement is theirs, they put all their effort and creativity into drawing up to a programme that was different from any other commitment programme we have had to date.

Mukuru Promotions Centre (The Congregation)
Greetings from Mukuru! We are very happy once again, to share with you some of happenings that have been part of our journey through 2011...
This has been truly a landmark year for St. Michael’s Secondary School, as the pioneer students of 2008 sat for their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination. We have every confidence that they will perform well...
The pupils and staff of St. Elizabeth’s Primary School had the long awaited joy of beginning the past school term in their magnificent new, 40 classroomed, stone building, erected by the German Government, along with the Government of Kenya and Nairobi City Council. This has led to a heightened sense of pride in the local community and past pupils, who recently held their first Past Pupil’s Re-union...
Our school sponsorship programme this year has enabled over 260 girls and boys to access education – at Primary, Secondary, Special Needs and Skills Training levels. For that, we are deeply grateful to the many corporate groups and individuals, locally and internationally, as without such help so many of our young
people would be still in the villages...
