Catherine McAuley, foundress of the Sisters of Mercy, used her inheritance in service of the needs of her time. Today, Sisters of Mercy, through Mercy International Association, use their resources to respond to issues of global poverty demonstrated in the massive displacement of persons worldwide...This vision keeps alive the founding spirit of Catherine among peoples of the world most in need of God's compassion and mercy.

Send Mercy Day Greetings (MIA)

In this year when the 180th anniversary of the founding of the Order is to be celebrated, sending Mercy Day Greetings takes on special significance using online communications which help connect us across the globe.

Many sisters, associates, students, colleagues and friends have already expressed their greetings and hopes for us all in a world which longs for God's mercy.

You are invited to post a message online up to and on Mercy Day.

To post your greeting, click on the 'More' button at the end of this message and follow the prompts.

Mercy Day will be celebrated at Mercy International Centre on Friday 23rd September with Mass at midday followed by a meal. Any Sisters of Mercy or Associates who would like to celebrate with us are welcome. Those visiting Ireland for any reason are particularly welcome.

Messages to Mary Reynolds rsm - Executive Director MIA
