Message of Sympathy and Support for Japan

Tuesday, March 15-

Dear Sisters, Associates, students and friends of Mercy,

I have just been to the Mission of Japan to the United Nations and delivered to Ambassador Shigeki Sumi
a letter of sympathy and support at this time of great national tragedy for that nation.

I have also received a letter from the Mission of New Zealand to the United Nations acknowledging our prayers and support .
