Christmas Greetings (re-advertised)
An invitation is extended to all members of the Mercy network - Sisters, Associates, Colleagues, Family and Friends - to post Christmas Greetings on the mercyworld.org website, a practice now in its ninth year.
Christmas Greetings can be posted directly onto the new Mercy site up to and including on Christmas Day. Many Sisters, Associates and Friends have already posted greetings. You can read these simply by clicking on the leaves on the Mercy tree.

A Gathering of Associates and the Religious Who Journey with Them (Newfoundland)
Associates and Religious from the Redemptorist, Presentation and Mercy Congregations gathered at the Lantern on October 15-16, 2010 for their first joint Associate/Religious Conference. Three Associate members representing the Congregations of the Sisters of Charity, the Sisters of St. Martha of Nova Scotia and the Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Halifax came also from Nova Scotia to participate in the conference.

Mercy Court opens (Aotearoa New Zealand)
Mercy Court was blessed by Bishop Denis Browne and opened by Minister of Health Tony Ryall on 12 December. The expansion adds 16 hospital beds to services at Atawhai Mercy Assisi Home and Hospital in Hamilton.

Mukuru Promotion Centre marks its silver jubilee (The Congregation)
The readiness and ability to celebrate is deeply ingrained in the African culture and so it was fitting that Mukuru Promotion Centre would duly celebrate its 25 years of existence on August 4th this year.
What was there to celebrate? In short; its growth from a tiny seed to a mighty tree!

Where Sisters of Mercy Minister: Pakistan (44)
The Sisters of Mercy have ministered in Pakistan since January 1981 when Mary Toole rsm (Congregation of Sisters of Mercy, Ireland) arrived in Multan. Four years later in January 1985, the Sisters of Mercy of Australia began a mission in Pakistan. The Melbourne Congregation has been the ‘authorising congregation’ for this mission which became a project of the Institute of the Sisters of Mercy of Australia.

Rockhampton Mater honours the Sisters of Mercy (Australia)
On Monday November 22, the Rockhampton Mater Hospital held a celebration to honour the 95th anniversary of the foundation of the hospital. The event was held in the original building, known as ‘Kenmore’ which was completed in 1894 for a cost of 15,000 pounds.
