Catherine McAuley, foundress of the Sisters of Mercy, used her inheritance in service of the needs of her time. Today, Sisters of Mercy, through Mercy International Association, use their resources to respond to issues of global poverty demonstrated in the massive displacement of persons worldwide...This vision keeps alive the founding spirit of Catherine among peoples of the world most in need of God's compassion and mercy.

Feature

Petition to support the Cause for the Beatification of Venerable Catherine Mc Auley (Great Britain)

The enthusiasm generated by the National Conference of Mercy Associates(2008) was the inspiration behind a decision taken by members of the Mercy Associate National Commission on March 13th, 2010 to present Pope Benedict XV1 on his visit to Britain in September with a Petition supporting the Cause for Venerable Catherine's Beatification.

There has been a magnificent response to this decision by the 55 Associate Groups, Sisters of Mercy, Youth Mercy Associates; students in Mercy Schools, as well as letters supporting the Petition from fifteen members of the Church Hierachy.
